Such is the personal philosophy of Dr. Juozas (Joseph) Petras Kazickas, a well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist, citizen of the United States and the Republic of Lithuania, with a doctorate degree from Yale University and an honorary doctorate from the Kaunas University of Technology. He founded the KAZICKAS FAMILY FOUNDATION, Inc. in the United States in 1998.
 
 
 
The foundation works primarily in the USA and Lithuania; however, it has also significantly supported projects in other countries. Programs and projects sponsored by the foundation primarily involve:
 
  • education and culture organizations
     
  • health care, religious and charitable organizations 
     
  • universities and schools
     
  • charitable foundations with congruent goals and programs in the USA and Lithuania.
     
Family members of Dr. Juozas (Joseph) P. Kazickas are the Foundation’s founders, patrons and board members. Jurate Kazickaite, his daughter, is President and Board Chairperson. The three Kazickas brothers—Joseph Mindaugas, Michael Vytautas and John Algirdas—are board members.
 
 In Lithuania the Dr. Juozas Petras Kazickas Foundation was established on February 13, 1999 with financing from the Kazickas Family Foundation and Dr. Kazickas personally. Members of the executive body are:
 
·        President and Board Chairperson—Jurate Kazickaite ·        Administration Director—Zenonas Bedalis ·        Board members— Dr. Kazickas, Prof. Vytautas Ostasevicius and Gediminas Gruodis.
