East Hampton
In 1955, while raising five children the Kazickas family wanted to have a place away from New York City to spend their summers. They bought a house on Egypt Lane in East Hampton and became members of the Maidstone Club. Their children enjoyed sailing, swimming, tennis and golf. Golf was the family passion. The four Kazickas brothers each won the Club championship over the years - a feat that had never been accomplished at that time at any other high-ranking golf club and was written up by Golf Digest magazine.
Two of the Kazickas sons Joseph and Michael, and their families live in the area. Most Holy Trinity cemetery of East Hampton is a final resting place for Alexander Kestutis Kazickas who suddenly died at age 22, Mrs. Alexandra Kazickas and Dr. Joseph P. Kazickas.
Today, the Kazickas Family Foundation supports many organizations and programs in the East Hampton community and surrounding areas; Most Holy Trinity Church, Hamptons Health Society, Day Care Learning Centers, Food Pantry, Project Most, Meals on Wheels, Retreat, Phoenix House, AFTEE, East End Hospice just to name a few.
