The Drs. Vaclovas and Stefanija Čepukėnas Scholarship Awarded to Elija Sigita Masalskaite OSB

On September 10, the Drs. V. and S. Čepukėnas Scholarship was awarded to Elija Sigita Masalskaitė OSB, a recent graduate and teacher, for promoting the French language and culture. The ceremony was attended by Neila Baumilienė, Executive Director of the Kazickas Family Foundation’s New York office, and Milda Krivickienė, daughter of the scholarship’s founders. Speeches emphasized the importance of multilingualism at Vytautas Magnus University, which celebrates its 35th anniversary, and the continued philanthropic legacy of the Čepukėnas family. Scholarship recipient Elija Sigita expressed gratitude and shared her journey towards becoming a French language teacher.

Today, we remember the 70 years of marriage between Alexandra and Joseph Kazickas. On Tuesday, we celebrated their enduring love with a beautiful concert at St. Casimir's Church. Their commitment, resilience, and generosity continue to inspire us to this day. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Eglė, Ieva Barbora, and Vytautas Juozapaičiai for their talented performances, and to Renata Marcinkutė-Lesieur for her artistic direction. Thank you to everyone who joined us in commemorating this special day with the annual ''Sacred Music Hours'' concert dedicated to the couple.
