Gabriele Petkevicaite-Bite Memorial Award

Last Monday, October 5, at the Juozas Balcikonis high school in Panevezys twelve individuals and organizations were awarded the Gabriele Petkevicaite-Bite memorial award "Serve Lithuania". It is an honor that amongst all the remarkable recipients the Kazickas Family Foundation was acknowledged for its philanthropic work. 


Alexandra Kazickas's daughter Jurate Kazickas shared her gratitude, remembered her mother Alexandra Kalvenaite-Kazickas and her mentor G. Petkevicaite-Bite, talked about the same values the Kazickas Family Foundation shares and its work with Lithuania's youth in the video recording that was shared during the award ceremony.


The award has been established in 2011 by the Lithuanian Parliament in memory of Gabriele Petkevicaite-Bite and is given to individuals and organizations fostering parliamentary traditions, democracy, active citizenship in Lithuania, doing philanthropic work and focusing on self-expression of youth, promoting volunteerism, working in journalism field that benefits society and promotes the values of patriotism.
