On March 5th historical documentary "Invincible" telling a remarkable story of the last partisan leader, general Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas', life story was introduced in Vilnius.
Film producer, director and script writer, Agne Zalanskaite, thanks the supporters, among which is the Kazickas Family Foundation, for their help to produce and introduce to the public first historical documentary about the most famous Lithuanian partisan leader, General Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas.
"On March 5th documentary was introduced to the politicians and government officials at the movie theater "Pasaka" in Vilnius. On the same day movie was introduced to the general public on the national television LRT while celebrating Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas 100th birthday.
More than 82 thousand people already saw the movie in Lithuania. National television will continue showing it and in April it will available on LRT "Mediateka".
Currently film is being translated into English, Russian and Ukrainian languages. Film producers will issue a special DVD that will be distributed to all schools in Lithuania and Lithuanian heritage schools abroad.
Symbolically, this movie was produced exclusively just with the American Lithuanians' support. Just like during the Sąjūdis days (Movement during the soviet occupation), today American Lithuanians stay on Homeland's duty, because it is extremely important to protect historical narratives, our freedom ideas and resistance fight contexts.
We take pride in telling an inspirational and open story of Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas, that will present courage and patriotic wisdom to the viewers.
For the Homeland's sake!"
