On March 25th, in the Lithuanian Alliance of America in New York, the Second Lithuanian language proficiency test was taken by 11 candidates, who attend Alexandra Kazickas and Maironis Lithuanian Heritage schools.
The test was initiated by the Kazickas Family foundation’s Alexandra Kazickas Grant Program in 2014. The participants were greeted by the vice Consul of the Republic of Lithuania to New York, Aiste Jakstiene. On the global scale, on the same day 170 candidates took the same test in the US and Europe. We thank Vilnius University Department of the Lithuanian Studies for creating the test, Ministry of Education and Science of Lithuania for ordering the test, and the Lithuanian Alliance of America in New York for becoming a testing center since the beginning of this initiative.
