Saturday, March 17th, Kaunas University of Technology Faculty of Informatics (KTU IF) hosted close to 200 high school students participating in the 20th Dr. Juozas Petras Kazickas Computer Science Forum for school children.
In 2012 the Kazickas Family Foundation established the Joseph P. Kazickas Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Yale to support the Baltic Studies program in the MacMillan Center's Council on European Studies. 2017-2018 JPK fellowship recipient Arvydas Grisinas at the end of his stay presented photography exhibition by Juozas Kazlauskas focusing on the so called "January Events" in Lithuania.
Back in June of 2017, Beverly Kazickas, who is passionately involved with the Nature Conservancy, advocated to add regulatory requirements to modify crab traps so that New York's diamondback terrapins don't drown trapped in them.
Dvbridge Group together with the Kazickas Family Foundation's help offers free programming lessons for kids in Lithuania. "Sourcery for Kids" initiative expanded and free of charge creative technologies classes reach more than 400 children in Kaunas, Sakiai, Raseiniai, Klaipeda and Plunge.
On March 17th, 2018 over 100 students took annual Lithuanian Language Proficiency Test in six countries around the globe. It was initiated in 2014 by the Kazickas Family Foundation together with Lithuanian language specialist Gailute Urbonaite Narkeviciene (Boston Lithuanian School) and provided by the Ministry of Science and Education of Lithuania and Vilnius University. Local Lithuanian communities contribute to bringing this test to their students.
