On January 27th, New York, Aiste Furajevaite from the Kazickas Family Foundation met with Lithuania’s Consul General Julius Pranevicius to discuss the “Basketball Power” program.
During her visit to Chicago, IL, on January 17th, Neila Baumiliene of KFF, met with Mrs. Rita Venclovas, program coordinator for Child's Gate to Learning.
KFF thanks Devbridge Group (Chicago, IL) for hosting a meeting in which a possible Devbridge Group's partnership with The Kazickas Family Foundation, Solid Education and Rotary of Lithuanians of Chicagoland was discussed on January 15th.
Lithuanian American Educational Council, supported by Kazickas Family Foundation, publishes electronic monthly newsletter that reaches over 400 teachers from 41 Lithuanian Heritage Schools in the US.
On January 21st, Neila Baumilienė, Gintė Genender and Aistė Furajevaitė of KFF met with Chief Philanthropy Officer of SharedImpact, Julian Eagles. During the meeting, KFF represenatatives introduced foundation's sponsored program in Lithuania "The Power of Basketball" and possible future educational partnership with Solid Education to Mr. Eagles.
On January 21st, Neila Baumilienė, Gintė Genender and Aistė Furajevaitė from KFF visited Mercy Center in the South Bronx where they've met with Stephen Stritch (Executive Director), Paula Sarro (Associate Executive Director), Mary Quinlan (Director of Development) and Cheryl Slavin (Development Manager/Grant Writer). Kazickas Family Foundation has partnered up with Mercy Center to help fund center's programs.
